As you know, we love going to Yellowstone. And for our 12 year anniversary Darin requested we go. This is the first time we've ever gone so early in the season. We were hoping to find bears, but no such luck, I think it is still just a little early. We'll try again in May.
During one potty break, we found a group of people standing around with telescopes and binoculars. Upon inquiring, Darin learned there was a momma grizzly way up in the mountain. A very kind man let Darin peek through his telescope, and then when he saw me and the kids getting out of the car, immediately lowered the tripod down so the kids could take a look. So nice! Sure enough, there was momma bear standing in the snow just looking around. Every now and then she would pop back in her den, then come up again a while later. We assume she has cubs who still have some growing to do before they are ready to head down the mountain. It wasn't the bear sighting we were hoping for, but it was pretty cool anyway!

| So. Cute! |

| In case you were wondering, child tourists are discouraged from this type of behavior. |

Neat you are taking advantage of being so close to the Park. Like the Icebox pic esp.
