Conference Birthday Weekend

We had a nice family weekend and enjoyed General Conference (I love that we get it on a local channel). The kids and I gathered blankets, coloring books, and bingo cards and got comfy in the living room (a little too comfy since I fell asleep during one of the sessions).
On Saturday Darin listened in the garage while he fixed our cars. My car needed some hoses replaced on the radiator that were leaking and spewing green ooze, and his car turned out to be missing a pin in the shocks (or something like that) that left the undercarriage swinging around a bit too freely. Thank you, hon, for saving us money and fixing those issues yourself! That night we headed out to Idaho Falls for Darin's birthday dinner at Olive Garden, then did a bit of shopping.
On Sunday we slept in, the kids spent the entire day in their jammies, and we had a super relaxing day watching conference and celebrating Darin's Birthday. We did cake and presents between sessions. Since Darin hates cake, and is a bit burned out from his typical cheesecake, we decided to get an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. They had a heath blizzard cake that just might be Darin's newly requested B-day treat. For his birthday this year, Darin got a season pass to Targhee, he got to pay the student rate, along with the early bird discount, such a great deal! He didn't go snowboarding at all this past winter and so he needs to make up for all the lost time.
Darin sporting a birthday hat made by miss Naiya, Naiya sporting a newly lost tooth, and Calin sporting the closest thing to a smile I could get out of him.

I've always appreciated your dad's ability to fix just about anything, too. Saved us $ over the years that we usually didn't have. Good job Darin.
Glad he had a great BD. He deserved it.
