Feedback needed!

Darin has been hired to teach a continuing education course at BYU-Idaho. His class will cover basic financial health, banking, savings, loans, investing, that sort of thing. He's taught classes in the past, some in Cleveland for the inner-city crowd, for high school students, and other classes, but this will be a little different. He'll get paid for one, it will be a longer class, about six weeks or so, and since it's for BYU, he can incorporate gospel principles into the class. He is very excited about this new challenge. He just got hired last night but they want to get rolling with this class asap so his syllabus is due on Friday.
He is looking for feedback about what kind of things he should incorporate into the class. He's not focusing on budget, they already have a class for that, just more of the actual finance aspect of it. So what would you want to learn in a class like this? What interests you? What do you wish you knew more about? Again, it's due on Friday so he's got to get this done fast, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
