Day Drive

The snow will be here before we know it, so after soccer we took a scenic drive out to Hoback Canyon. We circled through Swan Valley for some square ice cream cones, drove through Palisades, on through Hoback, then turned around. We stopped in Jackson and killed time at the visitors center before having dinner at Bubba's BBQ (yum!), then on to Driggs for a playground pitstop (driving all day makes you restless) then finally back to Rexburg.
The drive was beautiful but being hunting season, there wasn't much wildlife to be seen. We came across some mountain goats, one bald eagle, and a hawk. Naiya experienced squatting for the first (and second) time when she insisted she didn't have to go until there wasn't a toilet around. I found an ice scraper to dig a hole with and luckily we had packed some toilet paper. It was a great drive and the kids didn't fight at all b/c they spent most of the time reading.

The 1st pic is the eagle, then 30 seconds later the hawk swooped by.

Those are really great pics. You definitely have a talent for picture taking. What a nice way to spend a day. So much easier to be a guy when there's no pot around. Good idea to always have TP in the car along with your other 'just in case' supplies.
Nice to see a pic of you too.

The most important part of the trip is being with your family and creating memories with them.
